A Perfect Autumn Pre-Wedding Session
Autumn is always a magical time for photography — the air is crisp, the leaves are turning golden, and there's a touch of romance in the atmosphere. I recently had the pleasure of capturing a beautiful pre-wedding session for the lovely Sophie & Ed, and I just had to share a little bit about the experience.
When we first met, they were both a bit nervous. It’s completely natural, especially when it’s your first time in front of the camera as a couple! The wind was picking up, and I could tell they were a little unsure about how the photos would turn out. But as soon as we started, the nerves started to melt away.
We found a perfect spot among the fiery autumn leaves, where the colours and the crisp dappled sky worked together in unison. There was a more than just a slight breeze, which made for some fun, playful moments — a bit of wind in the hair always adds an extra layer of charm to the photos.
What I loved most about the session wasn’t just the beauty of the surroundings, but the chance to learn more about their journey together. As we chatted, they opened up about their wedding day plans and the love they share. It was so inspiring to hear how they’d gotten to this point and what they were looking forward to next.
By the end of the session, not only had we taken some gorgeous photos, but their confidence had grown as well. The nerves were gone, replaced with the realization that they were completely at ease in front of the camera. It’s such a beautiful thing to witness — knowing that by capturing these moments, I’m helping couples feel comfortable and excited about their big day.
